It expands and stacks. Yes indeed. It can expand and if you buy two or three or four or as many as you want, you can stack them. We've never tried to see how high we can stack them, but you can. Both ends are cedar. You should smell the aroma when you open the box. It is so refreshing. The cedar will help absorb moisture and keep your closet smelling like a place where you want to be, not like the gym locker room.
